CULTURAL EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION MAYA K'ICHE '
Mission: We are a non-profit Christian organization, whose mission is to translate the books of the Bible into the K'iche 'language, so that our people can read the word of God in their own mother tongue. And with the purpose of living according to it and thus knowing the will of God.
Vision: May the word of God transform lives and that our K'iche 'people know God through the message of the Bible translated into their mother tongue. May the translated word of God be read by the K'iche 'speech communities.
Translated books
The Pentateuch: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.
Historical Books: Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther.
Poetic Books: Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Songs.
Major Prophets: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel
Books that need revision and adaptation:
Minor Prophets: Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi.
